We will be adding more information about the Christian Home Education Network as time permits, but for now here is a brief introduction.

 

ABOUT CHEN 

 

Richard and Larissa Tomlin of Hustonville, Kentucky are the founders of the Christian Home Education Network.  The support group began meeting in 1999, and has steadily grown over the last ten years.  We now have an E-Mail List of nearly a hundred families.  Our goal is to support homeschooling families in their endeavors to train up their children in the way they should go.  We try to keep families informed about meetings, activities, field trips, and legislation that is of interest to them as homeschoolers.  Each year in the late spring or early summer, we host a Homeschool Book Sale.  We also host Parent Meetings and Homeschool Information Meetings at various locations.   At this time we are networked with homeschooling families in Central, Southern, and Eastern Kentucky.

We only contact you via e-mail periodically.  We do not send spam or forward junk.  E-Mail List subscribers receive the CHEN E-News a few times a year and e-mails about field trips and other activities that would be of interest to homeschooling families.  Sometimes during the Kentucky Legislative Session each year, we may also send out E-mail Alerts concerning bills that directly affect homeschooling.
